How a UV DTF sticker works
UV printing lays the ink down on a special film (film A) and cures it instantly with ultraviolet light, creating a solid, glossy, slightly raised colour layer. On top sits a transfer film (film B) that acts as a carrier: you peel the set off, place it on the surface, press with a finger or squeegee and remove the top film.
The result is a permanent sticker with vivid colours and a professional finish, no machinery needed: print, peel and stick.
UV DTF vs textile DTF: when to use each
Textile DTF is transferred with a heat press onto t-shirts, hoodies and any fabric: the ink bonds into the textile and survives washing. The UV sticker needs no heat and is NOT for fabric: it is designed for rigid, smooth surfaces.
- Textile DTF: t-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, workwear (with a press).
- UV sticker: bottles, tumblers, laptops, helmets, packaging, signage (no press).
- If the surface bends or goes in the washing machine: textile. If it is rigid: UV.
Durability and resistance
UV-cured ink resists water, abrasion and most household cleaning products, so it holds up well indoors and in moderate outdoor use. For bottles and tumblers we recommend hand washing: dishwashers shorten the life of any vinyl or sticker.
Common use cases
Any rigid object with a reasonably smooth surface is a candidate:
- Bottles, tumblers and mugs (event branding and merch).
- Laptops, phones and cases.
- Helmets, skateboards and sports gear.
- Packaging, boxes and product labelling.
- Indoor signage, doors and shop windows.
How to order your UV stickers at DTF.pro
It works exactly like textile DTF: by the metre (56 cm usable roll width, you pay for the metres you use), as A4/A3 sheets at a fixed price, or by repetitions (upload one design, choose how many copies and get a single price, with optional piece-by-piece cutting).
Upload your file to the online builder, place your designs and receive the sheet ready to peel and stick.
