Resolution, format and real size
The standard is a PNG with a transparent background at 300 dpi and at real size, that is, at the exact dimensions it will be printed. We also accept PDF/X-4, AI, PSD, PSB and TIFF, but the transparent PNG is the safest format for most designs.
Lay the file out within the 60 cm usable width. You have that full width whether you upload the file already laid out or use the online configurator.
Transparency and colour with no surprises
The background must be truly transparent, not white. Any leftover background or semi-transparent pixels along the outline will be printed and will show when pressing. Check the edges at 100 % zoom before exporting.
For colour, work in RGB and bear in mind that white is printed as high-coverage ink. If colour is critical, order a sample from €3.95 to validate it before producing in bulk.
- 100 % transparent background, no halos around the outline.
- Text outlined or rasterised if it comes from vector.
- No unapplied masks or adjustment layers.
- Minimum resolution of 300 dpi at final size.
Common mistakes that cost a reprint
Most issues come from low-resolution files, non-transparent backgrounds and designs placed together with no spacing for cutting. Leave a few millimetres between each piece so the sheet cuts cleanly.
We include a basic check of size, transparency and format, but it does not include vectorisation, redesign or advanced layout. If your file is not ready, ask for layout before printing.
