What a gang sheet is and why it saves money
Gang sheet literally means grouping jobs on the same sheet. In DTF, instead of ordering each logo on its own, you place them together on a 60 cm wide sheet and pay for the total length they take up. The better you use the width, the fewer metres you need and the cheaper each design becomes.
It is the model that makes DTF so competitive: a flat price per metre (€7/m + VAT) with no minimum per design.
Gang sheet vs ordering logos by the unit
Ordering by the unit (A4, A3) is handy for a few designs or fixed sizes. But if you have several logos or many copies, a gang sheet is almost always cheaper: many small designs fit in a 60 cm metre and you only pay for the metre, not each piece.
- Few designs or a fixed size: A4/A3 may be enough
- Several logos or many copies: gang sheet is cheaper
- No minimum per design: you pay metres, not pieces
- Ideal for workshops, brands and batch orders
How your sheet’s metres are calculated
The maths is simple: the pieces are laid out in rows across the 60 cm width and the system measures the total length used, which is what gets billed, with a 1-metre minimum. Leaving good spacing between designs is needed for cutting, but the builder handles it for you.
- Fixed usable width: 60 cm
- Billed by the length used, 1-metre minimum
- Automatic spacing between pieces for cutting
- The price shows in real time as you build
Build your gang sheet online in 3 steps
You need no software or layout skills. In the online builder you upload your designs, place and scale them on the 60 cm sheet, and see the total with VAT instantly. If you want many copies of the same design, the repetitions mode does it in one click.
- 1. Upload your designs as PNG with a transparent background
- 2. Place and scale them on the 60 cm sheet
- 3. Add to cart and pay only for the metres
Spacing, margins and the most cost-effective case
The builder keeps a safe spacing and uses the width by rotating pieces when it helps, so you do not pay for extra gaps. The most cost-effective case is repeating one design many times: they fit with almost no waste and the cost per piece drops to the minimum.
If your file is at real size with a transparent background, the result is a sheet ready to produce with no surprises.
